Illamasqua - Raindrops
i feel like today is the day of HTF Lemmings! because I have ALSO BEEN SEARCHING FOR AGES FOR THIS POLISHHHH. i finally managed to find it on a blog sale and boyyyy it is in my Top Three fastest polish purchases of my life. I bought it during a dinner, on my phone, using 3G. My friends were judging me so hard :P #NOREGRETS.
OPI - Damone Roberts 1968 ♥
AaaaaaahHHHhhhhhHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh! I’ve been lemming this polish for aaages and when OPI announced its return a few months back, I knew I had to snag it and snag it I did :3 guh ♥
SO I JUST REALISED i never uploaded some other quick swatches I did for Butterfly Juice over a variety of other polishes so here’s the post for that! :D
Peacock Pie - Butterfly Juice (over OPI - Oy-Another Polish Joke!, over China Glaze - Orange You Hot!)
just on thumb: Peacock Pie - Butterfly Juice (over China Glaze - Orange You Hot)
peacock pie’s butterfly juice is a gorgeous orange jelly that is extremely squishy. i however decided to layer it over an orange, which was China Glaze’s Orange You Hot, and wanted a glittery depth which I chose OPI - Oy-Another Polish Joke. i quite like this combo! :D
OPI - Oy-Another Polish Joke over China Glaze - Orange You Hot!
Oy-Another Polish Joke is sooo beautifuulll :D :D :D
China Glaze - Orange You Hot
Peacock Pie - Locket
there was such a hype about this polish in PANZ and NOW I FINALLY UNDERSTAND WHY IT’S GORGEOUSNESS PACKED INTO A BOTTLE AND I REALLY REALLY LOVE IT it’s totally worth the hype :’D :’D :’D
Doctor Lacquer - I’m Lavender Rain (over OPI - Snow Alpine)
wheeee! don’t you think that pops way more? :D the thumb shows two coats of I’m Lavender Rain over OPI Snow Alpine while the rest shows them dabbed on using the sponge method!
i personally love this much more, but to each its own! :D
Doctor Lacquer - I’m Lavender Rain
this had the same issues as Botany Plants Lately? :( while i love the pastel matte circle glitters, i can’t warm up to the milky white base. it’s still too sheer for me; pictured took 4-5 coats!
next post will show this over a proper white base, which i liked much more! :)
Peacock Pie - Purple Rain
eeeeeeeeee! purple rain is such a vibrant colour! i especially loooveee that shimmer within it :D it adds so much depth along with the small square glitters. the thumb took 2 coats, while the rest took 3 coats just to be safe, but you could definitely get away with 2 smooth coats. i really like this polish, and if you like purple and big round glitters, you should definitely get this here! :D
i was googling swatches of this polish to see what colour combinations have been done with it, and was surprised that no one (or at least the last time i checked hehe) had done it over the basic black yet! :O so i thought to myself i might as well do the basic black first then :D
Doctor Lacquer - Pythagorean Fiesta
it’s a super cute polish of triangles. i should have put a thick top coat on—i’m sorry! :C but it still pops over the black, don’t you think? :D
so the PANZ Blog is holding a Challenge and the first one is Dressed Up Nudes! :) this mani is my submission for it! I recreated an old mani of mine, and I debated for a long time whether to leave it glossy but in the end I went for a matte look, which my only regret was not being as careful about dragging on my index :( but ah wells!
don’t forget to check out the PANZ Blog and if you’re in NZ as well, please do feel free to join it! :D <3
Pahlish - Your Bright Shadow
i was previously not very keen on Pahlishes, due to the fact when I first ordered from her i got a different batch of Lonesome Ocean and was massively disappointed in it and that there were inconsistent batches and there seemed to be no rectifying it :(
i must say though i do not regret trying another time, because boy oh boy do i love these new polishes :D
Your Bright Shadow is a little bit streaky if you’re not careful, and its formula reminds me of HARE Polish’s Bisbee 2.0! it’s still workable though—pictured are 3 coats, though one could have gotten away with 2.
i love how rich the blue is, and the light lime green and aqua glitters in it as well as the iridescent specks of purple that pop up!
i think i’m on the bandwagon for Pahlish now :) yay!
hi there! i got them off the website http://nzsale.co.nz :D though be warned, their shipping time is horrendous and their customer service is okay-at-best. :(
i still buy from them though when the deal’s too good…. like these drawers i use to store my polish! :) they’re actually shoe boxes, and they appear every few months on nzsale :D the size i use is 20x11x31 and one box can store (nicely and in order) around 55 round-bottled indies (KBShimmer, Pahlish), or 50 OPI bottles, or lots of square-bottled indies, and probably roughly 60 bottles that look like Rainbow Honey’s. so 50-60 bottles per box approximately :D [if messily however, they store way way more……]
